City Council has adopted a new ordinance that requires all contractors doing business in the City of Horseshoe Bay to register and receive a registration card with the City through the Development Services Department. Any new general commercial, general residential, manufactured home, sub-contractors (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and home improvement contractors must register with the City prior to doing construction work for a homeowner or property owner in Horseshoe Bay.
New contractors who need to be registered before they can do any work in Horseshoe Bay, will need to bring their photo id, Proof of Liability Insurance, State license(s) such as TDLR, irrigation, or plumbing, examples of previous construction, and references from previous clients to the Development Services Department along with the application and $100 fee. Existing contractors, which are contractors that were registered before July 21, 2020, will be automatically issued a new registration number and registration card at their current registration’s 2-year renewal and will need to provide proof of liability insurance when their registration renews.
