Mayor
Mayor Bob Lambert
Robert W. (Bob) Lambert grew up in Midland, Texas and is a graduate of the University of Texas with Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (May 1967) and Masters of Professional Accounting degrees (January 1970.)
He is a certified public accountant and joined KPMG LLP (international accounting firm), was admitted to the partnership and worked in the Dallas, Austin, Houston and Executive (New York City) offices. During his 31-year KPMG career, he had numerous responsibilities, which included partner-in-charge of the audit business of the United States and worldwide and membership on the US Management Committee.
After retiring in 1997 he and his wife, Linda, moved from New York City to Horseshoe Bay. Since retirement he has been an adjunct professor of accounting at UT, a member of the board of directors of the Lower Colorado River Authority (appointed by then Governor Bush) where he held all officer positions including Chairman. He also served as a Trustee (Treasurer) of the Church at Horseshoe Bay.
Their son, John, is in New York City with KPMG and his wife, Kelly (a nurse) and sons, Ryan and Tanner.
