PRESS RELEASE
The Lake LBJ Municipal Utility District and the City of Horseshoe Bay have approved the joint consideration of an inter-local agreement leading to the merger of the Utility District into the City on or about the 1st of March, 2006. This “Strategic Partnership Agreement” provides the roadmap and mechanism for the District and all its interests, staff, assets, commitments, contracts, and obligations to be absorbed into the City of Horseshoe Bay. This agreement provides for the orderly transfer of municipal authority from the Board of Directors of the Municipal Utility District to the City of Horseshoe Bay Mayor and Council. Joint Public Hearings on the proposed Strategic Partnership Agreement are scheduled for January 3rd and 24th, 2006 at 2:30 PM at the District’s offices at 1 Community Drive, Horseshoe Bay, Texas 78657. Copies of the Strategic Partnership Agreement may be obtained at the same address. Draft copy online.
