2007 Tax Rate - $.40 / $100 Taxable Valuation
The Horseshoe Bay City Council formally adopted the ad valorem tax rate of $0.40/$100 taxable valuation for the Year 2007 at the September 18, 2007 Public Meeting.

The City of Horseshoe Bay taxes are assessed in accordance with the Texas Property Tax Code. The revenue is used to recompense for bonds that are issued by voter approval, to subsidize current maintenance & operation of the water and wastewater facilities and to support police and fire services.
Taxes become due in October for the current year. Any taxes that remain unpaid on February 1 incur penalty & interest, which are assessed on a graduating scale: 7% in February, 9% - March, 11% - April, 13% - May, 15% - June and 18% - July. Each month thereafter incurs 1% per month additional interest until paid.
