EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

Lake LBJ MUD Emergency Medical Services
The Llano County Emergency Services District (ESD) #1 and The Burnet County ESD #1 were created by receiving an affirmative vote of the majority of the votes cast in a special election held on February 2, 2002, for the purpose of providing Emergency Medical Services to the residents of the City of Horseshoe Bay and to the communities of Blue Lake, Oak Ridge, Deerhaven, Sandy Harbor, The Hills, Quail Ridge, and certain adjoining undeveloped properties.

The City of Horseshoe Bay administers the Emergency Medical Services on behalf of the ESD's through a contract with Marble Falls Area EMS, responding to 911 calls around the clock.

The EMS responds from Fire Station #1 on FM-2147 W. Services provided include twenty four hour, seven days a week basic and advanced life support (ALS) to the residents of the Emergency Service District. The response units are staffed with no less than one Paramedic and one EMT (Emergency Medical Technician).

The units carry on board an enhanced EKG monitor, defibrillator, as well as standard blood pressure equipment, IV's, medications, oxygen and other small rescue equipment.

Dispatching the squad for 911 emergencies is rendered by the Llano County Sheriff's Office.
