Councilperson Jeff Robinson

Jeff was born in Paducah, Kentucky on April 22, 1943.  His family moved to Austin, Texas in 1960 and he graduated from Austin High School in May, 1961. 

After graduation from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, he began a 35 year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.  His various jobs took him to Houston, St. Louis, Little Rock and Dallas before retiring in Austin in 1999. 

While participating in the evolvement of SWBT from a Baby Bell to the nation’s largest phone company, Jeff broadened his background in the areas of accounting, information systems, regulatory, network technology planning, International operations and retired as Executive Director-Governmental Affairs in 2000.  In his last job he directed Bell’s lobbying activities in Texas. 

Since retiring to Horseshoe Bay fulltime in 2001, Jeff has been active in the Texas Exes, the Hill Country 100 Club and is on the Board of Trustees of the Church at Horseshoe Bay.  He was also active in the successful efforts of the Committee to Incorporate Horseshoe Bay. 

He is best know in Horseshoe Bay as Becky’s husband and has a daughter, Suzanne, a son, Matt, and 6 wonderful grandchildren.  They all live in Austin.

Jeff enjoys golf, reading, cooking and wine collecting. But mostly he enjoys the Hill Country and all his good friends in Horseshoe Bay.
