PUBLIC HEARINGS

January 25, 2006

The City Council of the City of Horseshoe Bay met on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at The Trails Clubhouse located at 200 Trails Parkway in the subdivision known as The Trails on Ranch Road 2831, Llano County, Texas, in accordance with duly posted notice of said Public Hearings. Mayor Lambert called the Public Hearings to order with a quorum of Council Members present as follows:

Robert W. Lambert, Mayor
James E. Babcock, Mayor Pro-Tem
John Bird, Treasurer
Donald B. Wood, Alderman
Karen Wines, Alderwoman
Vernon E. Schrader, Alderman

The posted agenda for these Public Hearings is made a part of these minutes by attachment and the minutes are herewith recorded in the order the agenda items were considered with the agenda subject and item number shown preceding the applicable paragraph.

1. Call the Public Hearings to Order and Establish a Quorum: Mayor Lambert called the Public Hearings to order at 10:00 a.m. with a quorum present.

2. Public Comments on the Proposed Annexation of the following territories:

a. A tract of real property containing 20.097 acres of land in Llano County, Texas, referred to as the “Barrows Tract”.
b. A tract of real property containing approximately 549.966 acres of land in Llano County, Texas, referred to as “The Trails”.

Mayor Lambert opened this Public Hearing by stating that the purpose of the Hearing is to receive public comments on the proposed annexation of the “Barrows Tract” and the “Trails” into the City of Horseshoe Bay and then asked if there were any public comments. There were no public comments. Mike Walsh expressed his appreciation to the Mayor and Council for conducting the Public Hearing and reported that two weeks ago, the community held a meeting to discuss the issues of becoming part of the City. The Mayor and Council then addressed questions from public. Mayor Lambert adjourned this Public Hearing.

3. Public Comments on the Proposed Annexation of the following territories:

a. That portion of Ranch Road 2831, including the roadway and rights of way and any adjoining easements located between and contiguous to the Northwestern boundary of the City of Horseshoe Bay and Eastern boundary of the subdivision known as “The Trails”.

Mayor Lambert opened this Public Hearing by stating that the purpose of the Hearing is to receive public comments on the proposed annexation of a portion of Ranch Road 2831 into the City of Horseshoe Bay and then asked if there were any public comments. There were no public comments. Mayor Lambert adjourned this Public Hearing.

4. Adjourn the Public Hearings: There being no further discussion or public comments, the Public Hearings were adjourned at 10:45 a.m.
