CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING
March 1, 2006
The Council of the City of Horseshoe Bay held a Public Meeting at City Hall, located at #1 Community Drive, Horseshoe Bay, Llano County, Texas, March 1, 2006, in accordance with duly posted notice of said meeting. Mayor Lambert called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. with a quorum of Council Members present as follows:
Robert W. Lambert, Mayor
James E. Babcock, Mayor Pro Tem
John Bird, Treasurer
Don Wood, Alderman
Karen Wines, Alderwoman
Vernon E. Schrader, Alderman
The posted agenda for this meeting is made a part of these minutes by attachment and the minutes are herewith recorded in the order the agenda items were considered with the agenda subject and item number shown preceding the applicable paragraph.
1. Call to Order and Establish a Quorum: Mayor Lambert convened the Special Meeting at 8:00 a.m. stating that today is an important day for our community as we complete a smooth transition into a fully functional city. The Lake LBJ Municipal Utility District has completed a terrific history, and now the City assumes all of its responsibilities. The District is in good financial condition and the staff situation is outstanding. He emphasized how much the Police Department is respected and appreciated by the citizens, giving much of the credit to Chief Lane but noting he has received strong support from the District Board, other police officers and staff of the District.
2. Administer Oath of Office to Police Force: Mayor Lambert administered the Oath of Office to Chief Bill Lane and the entire police force and then issued each their badge.
3. Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 a.m.
