DEVELOPMENT SERVICES   The Development Services Department of the City of Horseshoe Bay is here to serve you, if you are interested in developing your land, constructing a home or constructing a commercial building.  We can help you navigate through the various rules and regulations that are designed to guide our community’s growth and development  in an orderly  manner, and protect the health, safety, and character of our City.   We should be your first contact for a development project.  We can help you obtain information and forms, answer questions and accept and review your applications.  You can complete a significant amount of the development process for most project with just one visit.  Our aim is to help you, help us maintain Horseshoe Bay as a world class resort and retirement community.   As you are going through any of the application processes you should find that there is a logical sequencing that needs to occur.  This in a very basic sequence is zoning, platting, utilities, traffic and drainage considerations, and finally building construction.  For a very detailed discussion of the requirements for development projects, please see the Horseshoe Bay Development Policy.   Any individual or company that contemplates the improvement or development of land should consider many factors before purchasing land that is thought to be an ideal location for a project.  Research should also be conducted to determine it there are deed restrictions or easements that would affect the use of the land you are considering.  If the land is within the City of Horseshoe Bay corporate limits or one mile thereof, within the City's Extraterritorial Jurisdiction, you must find out what other Subdivision (Horseshoe Bay, Escondido, Skywater, etc.) and Horseshoe Bay Declarant (Lake LBJ Improvement Corporation) development requirements will affect your ability to complete your project.  Whatever your project needs may be, you should use the resources and staff that are available to you in the City's Development Services Department. _____________________________________________________________________________   CONTACT INFORMATION: Development Services Manager - Eric Winter, ext. 270     ewinter@horseshoe-bay-tx.gov Development Services Technician - Bobbi Baird, ext. 272  bbaird@horseshoe-baytx.gov Development/Code Inspector - Jimmy Jones, ext. 210   jjones@horseshoe-bay-tx.gov Building Inspector - Mike Light, ext. 273 mlight@horseshoe-bay-tx.gov   City Hall, #1 Community Drive  Horseshoe Bay, Texas 78657 Monday - Friday  - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
