City Council has adopted a new permit fee schedule. The new fees effect all types of permits and are effective immediately.
Contractors should expect higher fees for remodels, accessory structures, and commercial and multi-family construction. Fees for new single family residential construction are the same with a $100 base fee added.
Development Services Technicians have observed that the largest increase in permit fees are associated with pools. Pool permit fees plus deposit used to be $200, where pool permit fees plus deposit are now approximately $1,000. This is because of the base fee of $75 plus $75 per each required inspection.
General Contractors are asked to pass this information along to your pool subcontractors and all subcontractors that you may use that apply for their own permits.

Single Family, Duplex, Mobile Home - $100 Base Fee, plus $0.35 per heated square foot
Multi-Family - Base Fee of $100 per unit up to 4 units, plus permit fees subject to review, minimum of $1,000
Commercial - Base Fee $100, plus permit fees subject to review, minimum of $1,000
