The budget provides the financial framework for all City activities during a twelve month period, called a fiscal year. The City’s fiscal year begins October 1 and ends September 30. The City Manager is required to prepare a budget for each fiscal year. The budget sets forth the funding for services, programs, and activities of the various City departments, and must meet all fund requirements provided by law and required by bond covenants. It must also include a multi-year capital improvement plan.
