AMI Meters

The City of Horseshoe Bay currently has an estimated 4500 water meters through the city and is still growing. While some of these meters use manual reading methods, the majority of the city’s water meters use AMI reading technology. AMI or Advanced Metering Infrastructure, allows the city to collect meter reads and consumption data remotely using proprietary radio frequency protocols. This puts the power of real-time data collection at the fingertips of not only the city, but the citizens themselves. With the My Water Adviser application, the citizens of Horseshoe Bay can get their consumption statistics along with tools to help track usage patterns and forecast future use. My Water Adviser opens the door for citizens to take control of their water usage and save money.

WHY AMI?

  • RETURN ON INVESTMENT: Lower maintenance cost and long term use
  • RELIABILITY: Under the glass antenna and quality components
  • DATA COLLECTION: Daily consumption data uploads, and robust analytics
