About the FD

Horseshoe Bay Fire Department patchThe Horseshoe Bay Fire Department is one of the emergency service departments within the city structure. The department is staffed by 25 full-time firefighters and 1 part-time firefighter. The staff structure includes the Fire Chief, Assistant Fire Chief, 3 Shift Captains, 3 Lieutenants, 6 Engineers (Driver/Operators), and 10 Firefighters.

The department operates out of 2 fire stations. Central Fire Station is next to City Hall and Station 2 is located in Horseshoe Bay West on Broken Hills. Crews run a 48/96 shift (on 2 days and off 4) with a minimum staffing of 6 personnel.
