2025 Town Hall Meeting
Town Hall Presentation and Resident Survey
City of Horseshoe Bay Hosts Town Hall Meeting
Approximately 160 Horseshoe Bay residents attended a community Town Hall meeting on Thursday, September 25 at Quail Point Lodge. The Horseshoe Bay Property Owners Association graciously allowed the City to utilize their facilities for the gathering. (To view the Town Hall photo gallery, please click here).
Mayor Elsie Thurman led the conversation, welcoming those in attendance and reviewing some of the City's accomplishments during her tenure.
Mayor Pro-Tem Jeff Jones, slated to become the City's next Mayor in November of this year, invited residents to the City of Horseshoe Bay 20th Anniversary Celebration scheduled for October 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the new City Center.
City Manager Jeff Koska shared information about the City’s initiative to create a comprehensive plan for balanced growth through 2040. Residents were able to provide feedback on commercial and residential development, neighborhood safety, city character and connectivity, and many more plan initiatives. Several boards were posted in the meeting room where attendees provided direct feedback on key focus areas by indicating their preferences for suggested community goals. A survey has also been created, allowing residents to provide the City staff with additional feedback.
Attendees also received an update on current capital projects, such as the construction of the new City Center, Fire Station #2 upgrade and the major water crosstown pipeline.
After the presentations, residents visited various stations set up around the room and spoke directly with leaders from the Fire, Police, Utilities, Legislative Affairs, Finance, Human Resources, Public Works, Municipal Court, Communications, GIS, and Development Services departments.
We are grateful that so many residents took this opportunity to connect, learn, and make a difference in our vital community.
