Rolling brownouts are possible this evening from 7.30 to 9:30 p.m.

There is a “likelihood” the state's power grid will be operating under emergency conditions this evening. The City of Horseshoe Bay has been contacted by PEC who was notified by ERCOT that electricity demand is forecasted to exceed committed supply Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023. Rolling brownouts are possible this evening from 7.30 to 9:30 p.m.

Further communications by PEC will be forwarded directly to residents. As the City does not provide electrical services, if you experience an outage, please report it online at pec.smarthub.coop, text “Outage” to 25022*, or call 888-883-3379.

City facilities are prepared to continue to provide residents with uninterrupted City’s emergency and utilities services as our backup generators in place, tested and ready for use. However, please conserve power usage where you can as this could mean the difference between rolling brownouts and continued service.
