Chief of Police Rocky Wardlow is a 42 year veteran of law enforcement, with his career starting in 1980. He retired after 30 years with the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Trooper and a Highway Patrol Supervisor, and serving his last 18 years as a Texas Ranger. Following his retirement, he joined the Horseshoe Bay Police Department as a CID investigator and later served 3 years as Assistant Chief before assuming command of the Horseshoe Bay Police Department in 2015. His management experience and training included graduation from the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command and the FBI-LEEDA Executive Leadership Institute. Compassion, integrity, loyalty, pride, leadership and professionalism are the values that guide his management philosophy.
