August 17, 2024 - Due to a temporary mechanical issue with the City of Horseshoe Bays' West Water Plant production capabilities, the City is asking that citizens assist us in water conservation by voluntarily reducing the usage of irrigation. While the City’s water plant is currently pumping enough water to maintain necessary life functions, because of mechanical issues water is being produced at a lower rate of flow making it hard to keep up with irrigation demand.
During this time, we ask that all outdoor irrigation using individual sprinklers or sprinkler systems be reduced by 20% including the use of drip and soaker hoses. This ensures a safe water supply is continuously available until the mechanical issue is resolved.
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring that essential water needs are met during this disruption. The City is working diligently to resolve the issue and restore normal water production as quickly as possible.
