Employee Benefits

The City of Horseshoe Bay offers an excellent benefits package to eligible employees:

  • Medical Insurance -- The City offers three medical insurance plans. The three plans currently include two co-insurance plans and one high deductible plan.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) -- The City will make a contribution to an HSA account for employees who elect the high deductible plan.
  • Dental Insurance -- Voluntarily elected by the employee for the employee, spouse and children.
  • Vision Insurance -- Voluntarily elected by the employee for the employee, spouse and children.
  • Life Insurance -- 100% paid by the City.
  • Voluntary Life Insurance -- Voluntarily elected by the employee for the employee, spouse and children.
  • Short Term Disability -- Voluntarily elected by the employee.
  • Retirement -- Employee contributions and employer match.
  • Paid Vacation, Holidays and Sick Leave

The City pays 100% of the premium for employee-only coverage and 50% of dependent premiums for medical and dental insurance.
