COMPLIANCE DISMISSALS

Certain offenses may be dismissed if the defendant provides proof that they are in fact incompliance with the alleged offense.  The request for dismissal must be made within 20 days of the citation date.  These offenses include:

Expire motor vehicle registration:  must renew and present proof of renewal.  The renewal receipt must indicate that defendant paid the late penalty.

Failure to display driver's license:  provide proof of current and valid driver's license.

Expired driver's license:  must renew and provide proof of renewal.

Failure to report change of address:  must remedy and provide proof.

Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility:  must provide proof to the Court that the driver was insured at the time of the stop.  Verification must be sent to the Court from the defendant's insurance carrier.
