A donation to the Horseshoe Bay Police Department may be made to support long-term departmental initiatives not funded by the City general operating budget, including but not limited to:
- College Tuition assistance for departmental employees, or children or grandchildren of employees. Program to be administered by the Police Department.
- Trade school tuition for departmental employees, or children or grandchildren of employees, as well as potential new hires.
- Departmental initiatives that benefit the health and safety of the community.
- Assistance for departmental employees who have suffered a catastrophic personal injury, such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, severe burn injury, limb loss, or ruptured kidneys, spleen, liver or bowels.
- Other extraordinary emergencies as may be determined by the Police Department.
