Public Information Requests

Below are the methods available for filing a request for Public Information with the City of Horseshoe Bay. Public Information Requests trigger the City’s obligation under the Public Information Act. The City will respond to a written request for public information within a reasonable time, typically within 10 business days (when City Hall is closed).

Other Ways to File a Request for Public Information

  • Email: Request the records using a detailed description and email to openrecords@horseshoe-bay-tx.gov
    • Please put the words "Public Information Request" in the subject line. If you leave the subject line and/or message blank, or send an attachment without a message, it will be flagged as spam and may not be delivered to city staff. Thank you!
  • Mail: To submit a request by mail, provide a detailed description in writing of the records you are requesting, and mail it to: 
    • City of Horseshoe Bay, Public Information Request, P.O. Box 7765, Horseshoe Bay, Texas 78657
  • In person: You may present a detailed written request in person to City Hall (Main entrance) or the Development Services entrance for non-police records. For police records, you may walk into the Police Department to drop off your written request.  
    • The drop-off location is 1 Community Drive in Horseshoe Bay.
