Proclamation of the City of Horseshoe Bay
Honoring The Contributions of
Winnie Woodruff
WHEREAS, Winnie Woodruff has served as a volunteer with the Telecare Program for fifteen years in the City of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the success of the Telecare Program would not be possible without her singular contribution and cooperative leadership of the program in making seniors living alone feel secure and cared for in the City of Horseshoe Bay; and
WHEREAS, during these fifteen years, Winnie has fielded thousands of calls from residents while volunteering at the Horseshoe Bay Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, those residents of Horseshoe Bay have enjoyed their morning phone conversations with Winnie, developed a friendship, and benefited from the daily contact.
Now, Therefore, I, Mayor Stephen T. Jordan, do hereby proclaim July 18, 2017 as
"WINNIE WOODRUFF DAY"
in the City of Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
