NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Horseshoe Bay Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed Future Land Use Map (FLUM) at their regular meeting on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 beginning at 3:00 PM in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 1 Community Drive. The FLUM was prepared by the Commission and Development Services staff and has 7 major proposals for different types of land use in general areas of the City, as well as proposed designations for future land use City-wide. The FLUM is not a rezoning and is not an Ordinance. It is simply a guide for future land use decision-making for both the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. It will be used by staff in the review process for recommendations regarding requests for rezoning from property owners, developers, etc., but will not be used by City staff to unilaterally recommend changes in zoning. Because the FLUM shows proposed future land uses for all property in the City Limits, it is a very large map, which is available for viewing online on the City’s website, as well as available for viewing and pick up at City Hall during normal business hours.
