THE CITY OF HORSESHOE BAY PARTNERS WITH TWO AREA CHARITIES
The City of Horseshoe Bay is partnering with two charities this year in hopes of providing warmth and holiday cheer to children in the Hill Country and Highland Lakes. Our City Hall will be a designated drop-off location for Lions Warm Coats for Kids and Highland Lakes Christmas is for Kids.
Each year, the Spicewood and Highland Lakes Lions Club coordinates a coat drive to provide coats to kids in need. We are accepting new and gently used coats. Through the grace of other donated services, gently used coats will be cleaned before being distributed. Beginning, Thursday, November 8 and through November 27, donations can be taken to City Hall Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Highland Lakes Christmas is for Kids has been serving families in Burnet County for 27 years with toys and other items through their annual toy drive. The City will begin receiving donations for this charity on November 26 through December 14. During that time, donations can be taken to City Hall Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Toys for boys and girls of all ages are accepted and greatly appreciated.
We’re thrilled to be able to participate and partner with these charities! However, it is through the giving hearts of our citizens that will truly make the difference in a child’s life during the upcoming cold months and holiday season.
