The City is now producing water.
Generator power is being utilized at the Water Treatment Plant until PEC and ERCOT stabilize the electrical grid. The City’s production of water is expected to return to normal but at a limited capacity. Once the electrical grid is stabilized water production will return to normal capacity and we will no longer ask for elevated conservation by our customers.
The Utility Department has been working day and night to keep our system online without stable PEC service. We ask for patience as we have experienced a record number of service calls during this extreme weather event.
If assistance is needed to turn off water service due to broken pipes, first check to see if your service line has a cut-off valve located on the house side of the water meter. If present, this valve can be used to turn off your water service. If not, call the Utility Department at (830) 598-8741 and follow the prompts.
If you are experiencing a water outage after 10 PM tonight, please call the Utility Department at the above number.
Thank you. City of Horseshoe Bay Utility Department
