City of Horseshoe Water System Update 10 PM
February 19, 2021
The City water system is making progress in the restoration of water service to our customers. However, due to the many water leaks throughout the City, including over 140 water service calls in the last 48 hours and the filling of the depleted water distribution water lines the progress is slower than anticipated.
As these water leaks are reported, identified and water service is turned off our capacity to fill the distribution system at a faster rate will greatly increase.
Both Water Treatment Plants are now operating at full capacity and providing as much water production as possible. This production will continue until full service is restored.
Please check your household plumbing for potential leaks. If you are unable to shut off water to your residence call the City’s Broken Pipe Hotline at (512) 755-3994 to have an operator respond. This will assist the process of returning the water system to normal pressures.
Once again, we appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to restore service.
Thank you. Utility Department
